Job Description
This non-academic post will provide day-to-day supervision of the clinical coordination team, for students in years 2 and 3, within Clinical Operations. This position requires a high level of leadership and analytical skills to advance the wellness and support programs of Chamberlain College of Nursing (CU). The Manager will be sensitive to the broad range and complex clinical coordination issues and appropriate resolutions. The Manager must maintain current knowledge of compliance measures and accreditation requirements of assigned region.
Please note, this is a hybrid role, and we are seeking colleagues who live in the Irving, TX area.
In this role you will:
- Hire, train and develop Clinical Coordination Specialists.
- Manage the workload of the team and provide back-up coverage for the Clinical Coordination team when short-staffed.
- Maintain a high level of quality clinical services through supervision of Clinical Coordination Specialists.
- Review and prioritize student clinical escalations.
- Complete performance review evaluations for direct reports.
- Participate in quality assurance tasks, including review of clinical placement records, accreditation site visits, etc.
- Plan, develop and present trainings for healthcare partners and internal colleagues.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, with a willingness to participate in university activities and events.
- Maintain relationships with key community partners.
- Assist in budget preparation, tracking program/division expenses.
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, colleagues, and university leadership.
- Participate in leadership team meetings and other leadership development activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all aspects of clinical relations/operations and own all relative SOPs and job aides.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required, Master's preferred.
- 3+ years in administrative and/or supervisory capacity.
- 2+ years in coordination (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to influence peers, superiors and indirect reports across all levels in a matrix organization.
- Ability to lead teams, including hiring, talent management, team accountability, and growth of direct reports.
- Strong leadership and in-depth knowledge of standard operating procedures and policies relative to clinical experiences.
- Quick learner and adaptable to change.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $61,720.78 and $108,334.92. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
