Therapist - AMFT/LMFT/LCSW (Supervision Provided)

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- The role of the Clinician is to provide therapeutic interventions for clients coming into the program for addiction treatment and assisting with the client’s transition to aftercare.
- The Clinician is responsible for conducting biopsychosocial assessments, communicating to family/support system regarding client’s care, and providing clinical documentation for the services provided.
- The Clinician will coordinate treatment plans conducive to the client’s treatment goals and help with providing outside resources when necessary.
- The Clinician’s role within the treatment team is to communicate the clinical needs, progress, and transition planning updates to the multidisciplinary team in a manner that supports client’s dignity and promotes treatment team cohesion.
- At times the Clinician will be asked to provide clinical support to floor staff if management is off-site.
- Provide assessments and participate in the treatment planning with clients and their families/significant others.
- Complete documentation within a 24 hour period of service provided.
- Brief individual and group rehabilitation treatment, and support system counseling as needed.
- Crisis intervention, including emotional support and de-escalation of crisis situations.
- Team collaboration with all staff.
- Assist Program Director in the coordination of services to clients.
- Coordinate discharge planning (intensive planning and implementation of integrating aftercare services within the community, provide community resources, and linkage when necessary).
- Provide education for clients and their support system.
- Facilitate groups.
- Remain in compliance with HIPAA.
- Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
- Meet with clients individually, on a daily basis for a minimum of 30 minutes/day for continued assessment pertaining to client’s needs and treatment progress, to discuss and review coping skills that work within supporting the client’s recovery goals, and to collaborate on the client’s aftercare/transition plans.
- Knowledge of 5150 criteria and how to coordinate this service when necessary.
- Remain in communication with treatment team regarding client’s treatment progress, discharge planning, and any behaviors and/or symptoms that treatment team should remain aware.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory hours will be provided.
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Related Master’s Degree from an Accredited College or University.
- Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals in chemical dependency and abuse.
- Valid/Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgrounds.
- Valid California State Driver’s License and ability to drive Program van.
- Commitment to the philosophy of recovery and continuity of the program and of consideration and respect for clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Substance Use Disorder: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- LMFT, AMFT, LCSW or Similar Credentials (Required)
