We currently have seven openings for our Management Development Program in the Northeast United States. We are looking for motivated individuals who have managerial experience and an interest in growing their career with a world-class manufacturing company. This 12-month program is intended to expand an individual’s knowledge and skills through a variety of general business, commercial, manufacturing, and leadership experiences to develop future leaders for the company.

Base Pay Rate:
$100,700-$155,000
Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:
- Develop deep knowledge of the packaging business, manufacturing and commercial operations as well as support functions;
- Actively participate in developmental/rotational experiences related to general business, manufacturing, commercial management, and leadership;
- Work closely with facility personnel to enhance existing processes and procedures in commercial and manufacturing areas;
- Take an active role in special projects and development of solutions related to safety, market/pricing strategy, labor efficiency, process improvement, quality, capacity balance, and logistics issues;
- Assist in plant operations and evaluation of strategic equipment upgrades to achieve facility objectives;
- Work with commercial representatives on customer interactions regarding capability, product offerings, quality, systems, and service;
- Coach, train, and engage employees on the business and the impact they have on business results;
- Build relationships and share best practices within Management Development Program cohort;
- Actively participate in cohort leadership development opportunities multiple times during the year;
The Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge You Will Bring:
- Four-year college degree
- 6-10 years of progressive work and management experiences in manufacturing, commercial, or administrative functions;
- Previous managerial experiences and leading others; preferably in a manufacturing organization;
- Willingness to participate in a developmental program for career growth on a General Manager track;
- Desire to have a career in leadership and leading organizations;
- Mobile for future opportunities, focused on the Northeast United States;
- Competencies include functional/technical skills, integrity, drive for results, motivating others, customer focus, action-oriented, business acumen, command skills, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- Relocation provided;
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
