Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Must be able to travel to each facility
- Qualified candidates will possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state in which the job is listed.
- Must also have at least a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in nursing or related health sciences field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated and proven clinical leadership providing support for multiple long-term care facilities in a portfolio are required. Ability to identify and implement clinical best practices resulting in superior patient outcomes is critical.
- Monitors achievement of goals and objectives for the facility clinical services department consistent with established philosophy and standards of practice.
- Stays current and reviews new regulatory directives and proposes process changes based on industry best practices.
- Monitors Quality Improvement process, Standards of Care, Weekly wound reports, etc.; reports on the status of initiatives to senior management and works with the facility to ensure programs are implemented effectively.
- Reviews and investigates resident complaints; ensures compliance with resident rights and works to resolve resident grievances.
- Conducts compliance survey preparation at facilities and participates in State and Federal surveys and complaint investigations by providing support and guidance as needed.
- Monitors clinical staff and mentors facility in the achievement of appropriate staff levels.
- Provides in-service training and orientation to facility staff regarding survey process, risk management, corporate compliance, and performance improvement.
- Must be able to attend orientation at the Saber Community Support and Development Office located in Beachwood, Ohio.
- Multi-facility experience highly preferred
Experience:
- Must have 3+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility or similar relevant supervisory experience.
