This position will help with research projects aimed at better understanding (a) the basic mechanisms of socioemotional processes, (b) the changes in these processes in clinical aging (e.g., dementia and Parkinson’s disease), and the implications of these changes to persons with the disease and their family members.
This position will be involved in every stage of research examining dyadic social and emotional processes between clinical populations and their family members (e.g., spousal caregivers) using MRI/fMRI, EEG/MEG, psychophysiology, behavioral coding, in-home wearable/mountable technology, and questionnaires.

- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers.

- Prior experience in an experimental lab environment, clinical research, and/or conducting research in health science.
- Prior research experience in emotion, social behaviors, health, psychophysiology, neuroscience, and clinical aging.
- Prior experience in computer programming, and/or data management.
- Prior experience in technology-based research (e.g., wearables, smartphones, tablets) and naturalistic data collection.

- Knowledge needed to execute the following human laboratory procedures: phone screening, informed consent, research neuroimaging, EEG, MEG, research grade neuropsychological testing, psychophysiology, saliva collection, and other common procedures; human naturalistic research procedures: Qualtrics/REDCap, ecological momentary assessment, and wearable and mountable passive sensing technology.
- Familiarity with the laboratory’s computer programs for data entry, data sharing, questionnaire creation, and study packet design.
- Familiarity with writing computer codes for designing tasks, data management, and/or data analyses.
