JOB LOCATION: Social Services - Youth Programs
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the placement of treatment foster care youth and supporting foster home families by providing help, resources, and services to individuals, parents, and children with mental health and/or substance use issues.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assess treatment needs, provide therapeutic services, assist in problem solving efforts and treatment issues/conflicts affecting the placement of the children, participate in the review of children referred for placement for matching purposes. E
- Coordinate foster care support such as preparing and discussing treatment plans, providing crisis intervention services, developing and implementing support plans, participating in scheduling respite care, ensure foster parents participate in required training program, provide and/or arrange individual foster parent training to meet unique and child-specific needs. E
- Manage all documentation including reports, compliance, treatment files and records, prepare and submit foster home licensing/re-licensing, prepare written annual evaluation regarding quality of care provided by each treatment foster home, complete re-licensing of treatment foster home studies. E
- Assist with recruitment efforts as requested. NE
- Attend meetings and professional development activities, as required. E
- Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all parents, co-workers, etc. E
- Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
- Perform other related duties, as assigned. NE

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed in field and office environments. Local travel required; some state-wide travel as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work accepted. Master's degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work, Community Counseling, Community Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or closely related field preferred.
- Certified Social Worker (CSW), Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy-In Training (LMFT-IT).
- One (1) year of experience working with children and families.
- Previous experience in foster care program (Highly desirable)
- Familiarity with Wisconsin Administrative Codes for foster care/foster care licensing (Highly desirable)
- Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written. (Desirable)
- Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.
- Must be a "People Person" with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal.
- Must pass all background checks.
