Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary.
- Obtain complete history and position patients using immobilization when necessary and explain the procedure to patients.
- Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
- Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the exam.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/employee safety.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and exposure.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licensed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts as a Radiologic Technologist.
Registered by the ARRT.
Must obtain CPR/BLS certification prior to start date.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Previous radiology experience.
