Position Summary: The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide outpatient comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, other intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as neurotypical individuals at Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation. This provider will help individuals manage their mental health conditions and improve their overall well-being.
Salary Range: $89,800 - $143,700/annual

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Required Education: Accredited Nurse Practitioner program with specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
Required Experience: 1 year of experience working with children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the lifespan and their caregivers.
Required License:
- Eligible for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or equivalent
- Current DEA certificate
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Publisher
Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Experience in outpatient academic psychiatric care.
- Knowledge of psychiatric principles, child and adolescent development, and behavior modification techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and a family-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Preferred License:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
Preferred Other Computer Applications: EPIC/One Chart electronic health record system
