Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care as required.
- Provide patient education on health management, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in urgent care to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid and active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Virginia.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- Graduate degree in Nursing studies from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical skills.
