What You Will Achieve
As a Scientist in the Antibody Discovery and Engineering team, you will be an integral member of a highly collaborative and cross-functional team, supporting antibody discovery and optimization platforms for the advancement of therapeutic antibody projects. You will design and execute key experiments to determine desirable antibody and ADC attributes and will actively engage in troubleshooting/implementing new workflows. With deep knowledge of the assays, you will perform insightful data analysis and present findings to your colleagues. Relying on extensive prior experience and literature sources, you will provide valuable scientific input to the team.
How You Will Achieve It
- Apply cell-based methodologies including multicolor flow cytometry, internalization and cytotoxicity assays to discovery research projects in the area of oncology.
- Execute biophysical characterization assays, including DSF, DLS and ELISA, to enable antibody lead selection.
- Design robust experiments to generate high quality, reproducible data.
- Proactively seek guidance and build knowledge relevant to the role.
- Maintain rigorous records of experimental progress using electronic laboratory notebooks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field and 6 years of relevant experience in the academic/biotech industry.
- Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience in the Academic/biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of antibody discovery platforms.
- Working knowledge of mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay development.
- Ability to prioritize and independently plan and execute experiments with minimal supervision.
- Strong data and time organization/management skills, attention to detail, and desire to achieve both team and individual goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Nice-to-Have
- Expertise performing and troubleshooting binding assays, including BLI, and SPR.
- Familiarity with developability and biophysical characterization assays.
- Understanding of cancer biology and experience with oncology drug development.
- Experience with high throughput and automated lab equipment and assays.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis.
- Must be able to wear specialized protective clothing and PPE (lab coat, safety shoes/glasses/etc).

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,900.00 to $124,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
