Overview
Documentation of experience as defined by the CNM Allied Health Credentialing policy to include the care of a normal laboring patient and recognition of deviations from normal which require supervising physician consultation and/or management. Responsible for providing evidence of back-up supervision by an obstetrician fully credentialed at Parkview.
Responsibilities
- CNM will attend Association of Women's Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses advanced fetal monitoring training every two years.
- The CNM will be credentialed through Medical staff, initial and ongoing.
- CNMs are required to have experience and provide evidence that they have assisted in a minimum of 25 cesarean section surgical procedures prior to performing the role.
- CNMs must perform the first assistant role at minimum 10 times per year.
Qualifications
- Must have current and valid California State RN license.
- Must have current license to practice as a CNM in the State of CA.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
