The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine
The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, UMassChan Medical school, is recruiting a 1.0 FTE physician, preferably board-certified or eligible, or with significant experience in that specialty, to join a talented, harmonious interdisciplinary team of adolescent medicine nurse practitioners and physicians (two of whom are adolescent medicine board-certified), including a Pediatric ID STI specialist, a gender clinic, and a global health researcher.
This position includes adolescent/young adult primary and subspecialty care for eating disorders, gender affirming care, adolescent gynecology, youth in juvenile justice. Outstanding Pediatric, Med-Peds, Pedi Psych residents, and UMass Chan medical students rotate through our services.
UMassMemorial Healthcare hospital, a tertiary hospital with level 1 trauma and NICU, shares a campus with the medical school. Because we are dedicated to collaborative, interdisciplinary professional teams, nurse practitioner students from Yale and UMass are also mentored and precepted in our clinics.
Medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts is required prior to starting employment. Level of faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience and academic accomplishment. Salary is competitive and the benefits package is generous. All pediatric and pediatric surgery subspecialties are active. The Medical Center is located 40 miles west of Boston in Worcester, with easy access to all that the New England region has to offer.
