Job Description:
Orthopedic Surgery Advanced Practitioner - Denver, CO
Your day.
As a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery, you’ll work with 1 Ortho/Sports Medicine Surgeon in a new practice to provide top-notch care and patient experience.
- Intermountain Health will have a new Medical Office Building located at the I-70 and 470 interchange and this position will be located there.
- You would do major surgeries at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, CO and may periodically cover the clinic Amber Creek in Thornton, CO.
- Other places of elective surgery could be at Denver Surgical Center and Good Samaritan Surgical Center.
- Your hours will be Mon-Fri 8am-5pm plus call.
- You’ll be on call approximately 1 night per week and every 4th weekend for the Platte Valley and East MOB practice with occasional surgical call backs.
- This is a new, growing practice.
In this line of work every day is different, that’s why you’ll need to know how to:
- Act as surgical first assist in the OR.
- Provide ortho consults in the Emergency Department as needed.
- Handle casting and splinting.
- Provide new patient consults in the clinic as needed.
Your experience.
We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner degree from a fully accredited program.
- Unrestricted license in the state of Colorado or able to obtain.
- BLS, DEA, and full prescriptive authority.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an NP or PA in orthopedics.
- Surgical first assist experience required.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience: $43.16 - $79.15.
