JOB SUMMARY:
The Athletic Trainer will assist in providing athletic training services to the Department of Athletics’ 17 Division III varsity sports and serve as an approved clinical instructor for the University’s Athletic Training Education Program.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Enforce athletic training room policies and procedures.
- Evaluate, treat and rehabilitate injuries sustained to Lasell University varsity athletes.
- Provide certified coverage for scheduled varsity practices and games.
- Assist the Director in certifying all coaching staff in CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Maintain injury and treatment records for all athletes.
- Adhere to all NATA standards and guidelines regarding treatment of student-athletes and instruction of student-athletic trainers.
- Adhere to all NCAA guidelines and philosophies regarding the treatment of student-athletes.
- Assist in organization of preseason physicals for incoming athletes.
- Clinically instruct, assess, and supervise student athletic trainers.
- Assist with the inventory and ordering of supplies within athletic training budget.
- Assist with maintaining all athletic training facilities and equipment.
- Assist with administrative organization in the athletic training facility.
- Act as liaison between team physician and student-athletes, when necessary.
- Refer student-athletes for treatment when necessary.
- Additional duties may be assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Athletics or the Director of Athletic Training.
Tier Structure
Subject to the completion of a Remote Work Agreement, this is a Tier 2 – Hybrid/flex position primarily requiring on-campus work while allowing for some remote work as approved by the supervisor as well.
Qualifications
Minimum Education level: Bachelor’s degree
Computer skills: Basic
Other Requirements of the Job: Travel, weekends and evening hours required.
CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION OR LICENSURE REQUIRED BY THE JOB:
- Certified by NATABOC for at least three years.
- Licensure to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- CPR/AED for the professional rescuer.
- First Aid certification.
