What you will do
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused to join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused will assist the manufacturing team in the production of cannabis-based medicines. This position reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials.
- Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials.
- Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts.
- Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes.
- Keep organized record of all procedures and results.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Able to work independently as well as operate as a team.
- Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results.
- Perform weekly safety-checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations, and shower stations. Attend safety meetings as required.
- Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
- Able to setup, maintain and repair equipment.
- Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability.
- Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Associates Degree Preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds or more.
- Attention to detail.
Shift time: 12pm-8pm
