Assist physicians and other staff members with care of patients in producing high quality radiographs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Must have command of radiographic technique.
- Must have command of PACS and be able to assist other staff members as needed.
- Responsible for understanding and carrying out radiology requisitions and views.
- Memorize what views each physician requires on exams.
- Assist patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed with the occasional need to lift the patient.
- Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Stock necessary supplies.
- Use a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
- Assist with and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
- Ensure equipment is in working order. Reports any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner.

- Previous orthopaedic experience
Education:
Required:
- Graduate from an accredited two-year radiology program or equivalent military program.
- Must be registered in radiography.
Special Qualifications:
Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of radiographic technique.
- Knowledge of PACS.
- Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy.
- Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- This position may require travel to and from satellite clinics as assigned. Please note, if assigned for travel, this position will require a valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire (MVR will be screened on an annual basis).
