MaineHealth Vascular Surgery – Aortic Disease Program is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with at least 3 years of surgical field experience to provide care for Aortic patients in the outpatient setting.
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of specialists from Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, and Genetics to develop MaineHealth’s Aortic Disease Program. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a broad scope of practice and significant input on how this role evolves as the service grows. The Aortic team works closely and collaboratively to provide a high level of care for this fast-growing population of patients. The position provides medical care and practicing medicine with physician supervision, including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions through office-based evaluation and treatment of our patients.
Full-time - Day shift only - No call responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Three years of surgical field experience preferred.
- Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure. Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required for PA's.
- Current BLS certification.
