Laboratory Management/Supervisor
The Laboratory Supervisor supports laboratory leadership in organizing and scheduling the daily activities of the laboratory staff. The Laboratory Supervisor may act as Technical Supervisor per CAP and CLIA guidelines and should also qualify as and may act as General Supervisor per those guidelines. The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing the training and competency program, supervising laboratory personnel in collecting, analyzing and interpreting lab results and performing laboratory testing. The Laboratory Supervisor also assists and supports the Laboratory Manager or similar management with a variety of tasks and procedures, working within the Quality Management System and developing new training and scheduling related programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science and 4 years training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
- Must have or be eligible for a FL Laboratory Supervisor’s License.
- MB(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) certification recommended.
