Registered Nurse: Neuro and Cardiology unit, Tele
Unit Description: 3E, Acute care/Tele unit | $30,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualifying candidates.
3E is a 19-bed neurology and cardiology unit, providing care to post-stroke patients, TIA and Cardiology patients. As a member of our unit, you will be working with patients who require specialized care due to cardiac and neurological conditions. You will be responsible for providing expert nursing care, monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.
Shift: Full-time, Nights
Job Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

- Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.

- As a clinical nurse, this individual spends the majority of their time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- Basic life support certification.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
