Position Overview:
The salary range for this position is $425,000 - $525,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
The Department of Radiology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting two full-time Interventional Radiologists for faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical “X” Series and Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) Series.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct meaningful research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. A strong interest in research is an essential criterion in this series.
Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service. Excellent teaching is an essential criterion for appointment in this series.
UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento is a quaternary care, level 1 trauma center with a diverse patient population and clinical need. The candidate will have dedicated clinic time to evaluate and manage ambulatory patients in the Vascular Center, a collaborative working space with vascular surgery and vascular medicine. Faculty supervise residents in the direct IR/DR pathway, medical students, and a supportive PA/NP extender network. Faculty participate in the management of the inpatient consult service and actively participate in a variety of subspecialty multi-disciplinary tumor boards and conferences.
Interventional procedures are currently performed in the hospital utilizing Siemens imaging and a robust and diverse stock of interventional products. Construction for an ambulatory surgical and interventional center is underway with an anticipated completion date in 2025. Outpatient interventions will be performed in a state-of-the-art outpatient-based angiography lab.
The candidate may be given additional academic time should they hold extramural grant funding and/or administrative positions.
