Job Summary
The Senior Radiologic Technologist (x-ray technologist or radiographer) is responsible for providing patient care and technical expertise in the operation of all x-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging purposes. The Senior Radiologic Technologist mentors and provides oversight of the area in the absence of supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degrees: H.S. Diploma or GED; Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program.
- Licenses & Certification: Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Licensed by Texas Medical Board); Certified Rad Tech Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; Basic Life Support Current CPR certification from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
- Work Experience: Two (2) years experience as Radiologic Technologist.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/Composing, Writing/Reports.
- Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Analytical abilities, Medical Terminology Knowledge.
- Work Schedule: Flexible.
- Equipment Operated: Ionizing Radiation equipment, image processing equipment, and other related clinical equipment.
