Our client is in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Set in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Mount Airy is well-known for being the hometown of Andy Griffith, and his inspiration for the fictional town of Mayberry. This small town has so much more to offer than just being the backdrop of this iconic show! The town boasts antique shops, the world’s largest open-face granite quarry, a lively main street, friendly residents, and countless scenic views! It’s also a convenient stopping point along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and just about thirty minutes from Winston-Salem, if you’re craving the big city life.
Practice Overview
Our client is a small animal practice with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. They are pleased to provide a wide variety of veterinary services for animals. They pride themselves on delivering personalized and compassionate care to their patients, as well as their owners. Their facility has a pharmacy, surgical room, exam rooms, kennels and runs, x-ray unit, ultrasound tools, and an in-house laboratory. They have the most caring and experienced staff in the area. Their team has been working together for many years and are knowledgeable in most all areas of small animal medicine. They foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and respect, which shows in their quality of treatment and exceptional client service. What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
- Be licensed or able to become licensed in the state of North Carolina required
- At least two years of experience as a veterinarian is required
- Experience or interest in performing surgeries is required
- Small animal, general practice experience is required
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
- A positive attitude with a desire to empower those around you
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
