Physical Requirements: This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.
Shift: This is a 3rd shift position that staffs 80 hours per pay period, 7 days on/7 days off, with weekend and holiday requirements. Typical hours are five 12-hour days (i.e., 7pm – 7am, 8pm – 8am, etc.) and two 10-hour days (i.e., 9pm-7am).
Job Summary: Provide pharmaceutical care to patients admitted to inpatient services through clinical activities such as centralized clinical order verification and pharmacokinetic/pharmacotherapeutic consultation services. This position performs operational duties through the supervision of pharmacy technicians in the preparation and distribution of inpatient medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounded medications. This position interacts with a significant amount of pharmacy automation such as automated dispensing cabinets, automated carousels, box pickers, total parenteral nutrition (TPN) compounders, and RFID technologies.
The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum salary for this position will now be $129,697/year. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
