Your job duties:
- Assist perinatologists and other healthcare staff in the assessment, treatment, and management of high-risk pregnancy cases.
- Prepare patients and assist perinatologists with examinations, procedures, and ultrasound appointments with thorough attention to patient comfort and confidentiality.
- Obtain and record accurate patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information necessary for patient evaluation and treatment.
- Ensure timely and efficient patient flow by coordinating appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with detailed and accurate documentation.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and stocking of medical supplies and equipment necessary for clinic operations.
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
- Relay instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person.
- Document patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review.
- Route messages to the appropriate area for direction.
- Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications.
- Setup of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics.
