Position Details:
- Full-time, Night Shift
- 3x13s
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- 100% Inpatient
- No Call
- Patient population: Pediatric general surgery and trauma, Newborn - age 18
- Currently: 10 physicians and 12 advanced providers in the practice
Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with Pediatric General Surgeon and resident/fellow trainees to provide care to a variety of surgical, post-operative, trauma population
- First line of communication for nursing as well as other service lines at night
- Response to consultation requests, floor concerns, post-operative follow up, discharge/orders and clinical care as needed overnight
- Inpatient & bedside procedures as necessary
- Inpatient rounding and cross coverage of Pediatric General Surgery and trauma patient population
- Trauma alert and Trauma one response
Qualifications:
- FNP, PNP or PA certification required
- 3-5 years of APP Experience working with pediatric patients required
- Experience with pediatric general surgery and trauma populations preferred
- Ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, have ability to work independently and collaboratively, very patient-centric with time and care of patients and place a high emphasis on productivity and efficiency
