Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical Group of Florida is seeking a full-time Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our respected neonatology practice at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a U.S. News-ranked children’s hospital and the largest NICU in Broward County.
- Joe DiMaggio NICU has 62 Level-IV NICU beds and 22 Level-II beds; average daily census of 70 and over 5,000 annual births
- System-wide the two sister NICUs have 36 Level-III beds and an additional 8,000 annual births
- Robust high-risk perinatal navigation program
- Full complement of pediatric subspecialists
- Care of full range of complex neonatal diagnoses
- On site ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, BPD programs, full range of ventilation modes including HFOV, HFJV, NAVA
- Variety of shifts including 10-12 hour day shifts and 12-16 hour night shifts
- Rotations to Memorial West and Memorial Miramar with 24 hour shifts

- Joe DiMaggio is part of the Memorial Healthcare System, the 4th largest public health system in the country and a quaternary trauma center
- A 4-story vertical expansion was completed at Joe DiMaggio in 2023, as well as a women’s and children’s outpatient pavilion in the nearby Miramar facility
- Memorial Healthcare received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its first class of pediatric residents in 2018
- The NICU is one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers (RPICC) in Florida

Qualifications - Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Minimum of a master’s degree
- Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU
