Are you a capable, team-playing equine practitioner that would appreciate joining our fun team of 4 DVM's and 8 support staff in this fabulous location? Are you a veterinarian with several years of experience who enjoys working up and managing lameness and sports medicine cases?
There is potential for this to be a part-time or full-time position as we are looking for someone to fill in due to one of our owners needing to scale back for health reasons.
We are a primarily ambulatory practice with a beautiful 15-acre facility that allows us to have haul-in appointments or provide hospitalization for select (non-emergency) cases. An experienced technician and fully stocked truck will be provided. We have all the expected tools such as Next DR's, Edge II's Alpha2EQ, Prostride, ESWT, Gastroscope, etc., as well as in-house bloodwork.
Our patients range from upper-level competition horses to backyard and pleasure horses. The common denominator is that our clients love their horses and appreciate the personalized level of care that we deliver.
Shared (1/4) on-call to cover client-only emergencies for clients that pay and appreciate your skills and expertise. $160 emergency fee for each emergency seen. Enjoy Fridays off after the weekend on call, year-round, along with 3 weeks paid vacation and use of a canal front vacation home in the Florida Keys.
There is a partnership opportunity after 2-3 years if desired. We are a privately owned practice.
Florida's Treasure Coast is a great location to call home with excellent schools, privately owned restaurants, and endless outdoor activities. We are situated 2 hours north of Miami and 2 hours south of Orlando, with fabulous beaches.
Our team is proud to provide high-quality veterinary medicine while still enjoying an excellent life outside of work. Paddle-boarding, waterskiing, fishing, scuba diving, and golf are our favorite non-equestrian pastimes.
We will be at FAEP/PES in Naples in October!
License to practice in the USA is required.
