Job Title: Radiation Therapist - Oncology
Job Summary:
As a Radiation Therapist specializing in Oncology, you will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer. You will work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation treatments. Your role is crucial in helping patients fight cancer and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for radiation therapy procedures
- Position patients correctly for treatment delivery
- Administer radiation treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient reactions and report any adverse effects to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
- Educate and support patients and their families throughout the treatment process
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program
- Current certification as a Radiation Therapist
- Experience working in oncology is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
