Required Related Experience

Required License/Registration/Certification
Registered Nurse (RN) and a national certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire and maintained throughout employment in this job title. This national certification will require approval by nursing leadership.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.
Shift
Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed.
Job Summary
The Nurse Manager will supervise all designated nursing staff and other clinical support staff functions in the Cardiothoracic, General Surgery, and Comprehensive Vascular Clinic.
Ensuring appropriate resource management and quality patient care are essential job duties for this position. This includes initiating actions for resolutions, maintaining nursing standards of care and magnet-related designations requirements, and participating in updating policies and procedures.
In addition, the position will ensure adequate nursing staff and clinical support staff are available to care for patients, work with staff to develop schedules and coverage plans, act as a clinical and systems resource for staff, and complete designated staff performance evaluations. The position will work directly with the practice manager and ambulatory nursing director for practice, clinical improvement, and nursing initiatives.
