Central Ohio Endodontics is a specialty practice seeking a patient-focused, detail-oriented team member to join our practice’s administrative team. Our practice is known for delivering outstanding patient care, with an emphasis on exceptional patient service! Our team’s ideal candidate possesses a strong background in customer service, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities
Our Ideal Candidate will:
- Provide excellent patient support in a high-volume care environment.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy while caring for our patients through active listening, courteous and professional behavior in all interactions.
- Be committed to working with confidential patient information and treat it sensitively.
- Possess basic knowledge of dental or medical insurance.
- Have working knowledge of computerized practice management systems.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Answer telephone and respond to inquiries including email correspondence from patients.
- Prepare treatment plans.
- Schedule appointments and enter them into the schedule.
- Verify patient insurance prior to the scheduled date of service and effectively communicate benefits to patients.
- Obtain necessary documentation or records prior to patients’ scheduled date of service.
- Check patients out and collect payments from patients, reconciling daily cash reports.
- Conduct reminder calls to patients.
- Maintain a positive and team-focused mindset to ensure a consistently high level of collaboration daily.
- Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail.
- Maintain/clean lobby and reception area.
- Greet and check in patients and visitors, consistently providing an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere for our patients.
- Register patients by verifying that a patient’s record is up to date and accurate.
- Make appropriate changes in the computer system and on the patient's chart.
- Scan documents for patient file including driver’s license, insurance card, and referral form.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Dental or Medical Office experience preferred. Knowledge of dental software programs a plus.
