Clinical Lab Scientist/MLS/Med Tech (1.5 hrs from Sacramento, CA)
A healthcare system that services California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington and has over 235 clinics and outpatient centers as well as almost 20 hospitals with more than 2,700 beds is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.

Job Purpose
Supervises phlebotomists, offers suggestions, and provides guidance as needed. Performs specimen processing and testing using standard lab practices and quality control.
Maintains compliance with environmental safety, infection control, and emergency response/disaster protocols.
Participates in departmental performance improvement and quality assurance activities. Understands how these activities relate to their position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adjusts daily work assignments to meet the demands of the department.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the technical aspects of the laboratory; e.g., proper maintenance of equipment, interpretation of data, etc.
- Per the scope of license, trainee can only review and perform patient testing.
- Properly uses and maintains tools and equipment in compliance with department and hospital policies and standards.
- Supervises phlebotomists, offers suggestions, and provides guidance as needed.
Education and Qualifications
Required Licenses/Certifications: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
