University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST (CVT) in the ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY (EP) LAB.

WORK SCHEDULE:
• 100% FTE, Full-time, 40-hours-per-week
• Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm, with rotating day off.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
• There is no “On-Call” obligation in the EP Lab; staff sign up for ‘Late Stay’ to ensure some predictability in completing any cases extending beyond regular operating hours.
• Case types include diagnostic EP studies, device implantations, LAOO and ablations.
• Work as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
• The EP Lab technologist will scrub, monitor and/or circulate diagnostic and complex electrophysiology procedures. This role requires excellent communication skills with providers and staff about changes in the patient's condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and symptomatology.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Scrub, monitor, and circulate diagnostic and complex electrophysiology (EP) cardiology procedures
• Lead extractions and device implantations
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department
REQUIREMENTS:
• 1 year of EP experience and Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program AND registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS)
OR
• 1 year of EP experience and Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program AND Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
