We are presently seeking a Perioperative Support Partner to join our team!
Position Summary
This position consists of 40 hours per week. Under the direction of the OR charge nurse, support and assist the surgical team in a fast-paced, multifaceted role to facilitate the OR schedule in multiple capacities. Under the direction of the Department and Anesthesia and the OR Director, support the delivery of anesthesia care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- License/Certifications: BCLS within 6 months of hire.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions.
- Demonstrates the knowledge of infection control in the surgical unit.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to assist with anesthesia delivery.
- Demonstrates ability to perform assigned duties in emergent patient care situations.
- Demonstrates the knowledge, skills and ability to meet age-specific population needs.
- Self-directed; able to perform duties independently following standards, practices and procedures; ability to retain detailed technical information.
- Demonstrates knowledge of supply and distribution.
- Ability to retain diverse, detailed technical information.
- Ability to interact with patients and families in a compassionate, professional manner.
