The Physician Assistant provides high-quality medical care to the patients of St. Joseph Medical Center as a member of the Orthopedic Surgery Team, caring for individuals with foot and ankle problems.
Responsibilities:
- Work primarily with 2 surgeons.
- Mix of office and OR duties.
- Flexibility to see patients in Bel Air and Towson offices.
- Additional responsibilities include night and weekend call.
Education:
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree: Physician Assistant (Required)
- Or MSN or DNP for Nurse Practitioner.
- Master's Degree (Preferred).
Certification / Licensure / Registration:
- BLS Certification (Required).
- HCCPA Re-certification exam every six years (Required).
- Physician Assistant (Required) or Nurse Practitioner.
- Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Required).
Experience and Skills:
- 0 - 1 year Physician Assistant (Required).
- 2 - 4 years Physician Assistant (Preferred).
Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
