Our Residential and Clinical Services Program provides vital services to Arc GLOW and the people we support. We are looking to hire a Speech Language Pathologist to provide assessments and develop plans as appropriate in Genesee and Orleans counties. Our clinical services team provides proactive, holistic, and person-centered care to support successful aging to individuals in Arc homes.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?
- Providing assessment, intervention and training related to choking and aspiration risk, and the implementation of altered consistencies to promote safe dining experiences.
- Review referral requests as received and seeks additional information as needed.
- Complete assessments based on individual need and identified concerns.
- Develop Service Plans and Treatment Plans as appropriate.
- Document service recipients' progress. Ensure completion of other record keeping tasks as per Agency/program policies and procedures.
- Develop appropriate receptive and expressive language goals and treatment.
- Evaluate the need for and implements the use of augmentative communication systems.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:
- Graduate of an accredited Master's Program in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by ASHA (strong Clinical Fellowship candidates will be considered).
- New York State Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or CF.
- Valid New York State driver's license with safe driving record per agency policy; use of personal vehicle is required, mileage reimbursement provided.
