POSITION SUMMARY:
The MA/TL is clinically responsible for the provision of services within the outpatient clinic or specialty area within WCCHC. This position will work collaboratively with medical providers and will provide assistance with clinical supervision for support staff within a designated clinic. The person in this position will function as a team leader in the care of many patients, as a role model for support staff, and have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from a Medical Assistance Program and a passing score on the National Medical Assistant Exam
- Current CMA or RMA certification
- 5 years clinical experience in an outpatient clinic preferred
- 2 years of leadership experience preferred
- Ability to train and evaluate clinic support staff and students (evaluate staff competency, quality of work, workflow, scheduling, professional behavior and dress).
- Proficient in the following computer skills: word processing, entering data onto and sorting data in spreadsheets, navigating through the internet, email, and experience with electronic health records
- Communication skills (verbal and written) required
- Ability to work in partnership with community health organizations
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff members, community members, and patients
- OSHA Training Annually
- BCLS every two years
