We are seeking a(an) Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? What qualifications you will need:
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
- Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed.
- Assesses patients throughout procedures and responds to patient needs as appropriate.
- Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed, including all computer and PACS functions.
- Participates in quality control and assessment activities on a daily basis.
- Handles radiopharmaceuticals to include storage, dosage preparation/calculation, administration, and disposal.
- Performs quality control, equipment calibration, and equipment maintenance procedures according to standard operating procedures.
- Participates in the improvement of operational functions of the department.
- Monitors and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care and practices identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Registration, Licensure or Certification: Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through the American Heart Assoc. or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR.
Preferred Education or Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology, one year of experience in the Nuclear Medicine environment.
