TEAM
Woven by Toyota is seeking a skilled Architect to support the development of our next-generation automotive simulation platform. This platform will cover vehicle simulation, environmental elements (such as traffic simulation, road network, and weather), and sensor simulation (including camera, LIDAR, and RADAR). This scalable platform is envisioned as a critical tool for application developers working on control systems, sensor-fusion, perception, and machine learning systems. Utilizing the latest technology, we aim to provide highly accurate ground truth data and realistic synthetic sensor data under a myriad of weather and traffic conditions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned engineer with a background in automotive simulation, robotics, control systems, game development, or computer vision. As the appointed Architect, you will be entrusted with the technical development of this platform. Comfortable with complex systems and large codebases; collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers is essential. The role will involve making vital technical decisions, demonstrating these decisions to stakeholders through proof-of-concepts, working with engineers on implementation, assisting in validation, and delivering a superior, scalable system. Additionally, you will be expected to identify gaps in current systems, keep up with market trends, comprehend state-of-the-art solutions, and contribute to our product development strategy. You will report to the Architects Lead in the Chief Engineer Office, and the role is hybrid - at least 3 days in office per week.

- Degree in Physics, Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, AI/Machine Learning, or a related engineering field.
- At least 5 years of experience with C/C++/Python/Rust.
- Profound understanding of algorithms, geometry, and linear algebra.
- Strong system design and programming skills.
- Expertise in simulation software development within the automotive, robotics, aviation, or related fields.
- Familiarity with modern development processes and tools.
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience in sensor simulation (camera, LIDAR, RADAR).
- Experience with industry-leading game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.).
- Knowledge of GPU programming, shaders, and/or ray-tracing.
- Experience in UI/UX design and development.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262, etc.
