MRI Tech - Sign on bonus for eligible candidate
Day Shift, Full time: Sat, Sun, and Wednesdays 7am-7:30pm
Call Rotation/Holiday Call Rotation
Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation. Interact directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging studies and patient safety.
Job Duties
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images of the body according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Perform basic image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation, providing technical support and documentation of relevant findings.
- Greet patients and explain MRI procedures, ensuring they understand what to expect and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Adhere to MRI safety protocols, including screening patients for contraindications, ensuring proper use of magnetic field safety equipment, and monitoring for potential hazards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- No experience required.
- ARRT Registration is required.
- Military training graduate of JRCERT accredited program can substitute for ARRT registration requirement.
Preferred Requirements
- Two years of experience working as an MRI Tech in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred.
