The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Christian Hospital is searching for a full-time, Charge Nurse/Team Lead for the night shift position. The 29-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializes in surgical patients, stroke patients requiring telemetry monitoring, heart patients, Congestive heart failures, and COPD patients.
Position Requirements
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Benefits Eligible
- 36 Hours per Week
- 3x12hr shifts.
- Night Shift (7:00pm- 7:30am)
- Full Time
- BLS Required
- ADN Required
- 1-2 yrs. of RN exp.
- 3-5 weeks orientation and training (depending on skills)
- Relocation Assistance
Additional Preferred Requirements
- PCU or Telemetry Units exp
- 1-2 yrs. Supervisory exp.
- 2-3 yrs. of RN exp
- ACLS
Role Purpose
Under the direction of the manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift. Performs direct patient care as needed and functions as a clinical resource to nursing and support staff. Assesses, plans, evaluates, and documents the nursing process of the assigned unit as needed.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into the ambulatory care setting.
- Leads the development and implementation of complex individual plans of care.
- Actively utilizes and champions scientific inquiry for evidence-based practices.
- Analyzes gap in practice standards and provides feedback to peers to enhance safe patient care.
