Professional and technical work performing specialized nursing duties in a clinical setting. Work includes delivering primary care to patients and involves performing physical examinations and developing therapeutic plans of care for prevention, management, and maintenance of optimum health for individuals. Work also includes the dispensing of pharmaceuticals and may be expected to work after hours in emergency situations; and related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Louisiana licensure as a Registered Nurse (will be verified through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website).
- Louisiana licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) (will be verified through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website).
- Letter of approval issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN) indicating approval for prescriptive authority (PA) privileges in the State of Louisiana (will be verified through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website).
- Either one (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a direct care setting.
