Our client is conveniently located in Punta Gorda, Florida. Situated alongside the Charlotte Harbor, Punta Gorda provides its residents with numerous activities for both an active and relaxed lifestyle. Practice Overview
Our client’s facility is a privately owned, small animal practice whose mission is to provide comprehensive veterinary services in a compassionate manner. They don’t let a pet that is in need go unseen. Their veterinary professionals offer both conventional and alternative (traditional Chinese medicine—certified acupuncturist and cold laser) approaches to ensure each patient receives specialized care. It sets itself apart from other practices. They are a Certified Reproductive Zoetis Frozen center, offering specialized reproductive services, advanced small animal dentistry, minor orthopedics, and soft tissue surgery. The hospital has equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, a high support staff to doctor ratio, and a collaborative, team-oriented working environment.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases
- 7% of our business is Equine / Farm Animal, so you have mixed animal cases possibility too
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited school required
- Licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Florida
- Two years of experience preferred, new graduates encouraged to apply
- Basic surgical skills required
- Experience or interest in small animal reproduction, dentistry, and internal medicine preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to growth and development
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate with a passion for mentoring and working with others
