We have an immediate opportunity to join our growing company. We are currently seeking a full-time Hospital Account Manager in the Portland and Vancouver, OR territory. The Hospital Account Manager is a member of the health care team, which provides care and services for patients. Promotes and provides support for the Pacific Medical Hospital Partnerships and meets all required quality and performance criteria. Provides support for patients, families, and other healthcare providers in the delivery of these services. Promotes optimum delivery of care for the patient that requires services as requested by physicians and other healthcare providers. Provides assistance to the health care team in the performance of these duties. Functions as a collaborative and participative member of an interdisciplinary team, consistent with the mission and values of the surgical/orthopedic services department, the rehabilitation department, and the Medical Center.
Job Duties:
- Performs application of orthopedic soft goods and orthopedic devices such as CPMs.
- Fits braces in the medical center.
- Measures for, orders, and fits lumbar-sacral orthotic body jackets, chair backs, L-S corsets, ankle-foot orthotics, and other devices as necessary.
- Performs dressing changes using the aseptic technique with assistance from nursing personnel and applies soft goods such as CPM.
- Participates in the coordination of inpatient care regarding soft goods placement such as CPM placement and maintenance.
- Screens calls, pages, and emails regarding patient status and reports potential problems to respective physicians and other care providers.
- Acts as a resource to nursing and therapy staff and provides in-service training as needed.
- Facilitates interaction with custom Orthotic and Prosthetic care and functions as a patient advocate.
- Works under the supervision of nursing and therapy to provide care and service to the patients and their families. Receives direction from the clinical staff for the delegation of tasks. Adheres to policies and procedures associated with patient care.
- Communicates appropriately and legibly documents all care provided to the patient, as well as reporting changes in patient condition in a timely manner.
- Collaborates with nurses and other team members to organize and prioritize functions necessary for patient care delivery.
- Demonstrates competency for appropriate soft goods such as CPM per MD orders.
- Maintains annual competencies such as age competency.
- Demonstrates the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and demonstrates professional accountability.
- Adheres to Medical Center policies/procedures and core values.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. Degree or equivalent mandatory 2 years of experience in Medical Sales. (Entry Level & Orthopedic experience will be given consideration)
- Background in sports, sports medicine, or competition preferred.
- Great communication skills and time management experience.
- Ability to maintain inventory of consigned products.
- Knowledge and background of Human Anatomy. Competent in basic Windows-based operating systems (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Email, etc.).
Compensation Range: $36,000-$40,000 annually with an expense reimbursement for all eligible expenses associated with driving on behalf of the company.
