Pediatrics On Demand is an Urgent Care and Primary Care located in Oak Lawn, IL. We serve patients from birth to 21 years of age.
Part Time: 2 11-12 hour shifts
Full Time: 3 11-12 hour shifts

Job Responsibilities:
- Identify changes in a child’s signs and symptoms and intervene in emergent situations.
- Differentiate between normal and abnormal physical findings.
- Engage patients and their families in conversation to determine types and extent of illnesses.
- Create and implement individualized plans of nursing care to meet each patient’s specific requirements.
- Document all patient care activities.
- Order and follow up on medical tests such as blood work, x-rays, and other scans.
- Diagnose and treat a wide array of acute, chronic, and critical illnesses by effectively interpreting test results.
- Educate patients and their families.
- Act as a point of contact for responding to questions and concerns regarding treatments and illnesses.
- Participate in community and clinic education programs.
- Maintain current credentialing, license, and board certification.
- Administer medication using age-appropriate guidelines.
- Evaluate a child for signs and symptoms of abuse.
- Maintain privacy of patients.
- Assist in supervision of health professional students.
- Demonstrate integrity, care, and compassion when working with patients/families and staff.
- Perform other duties assigned by Employer from time to time that are commensurate with professional services normally and customarily performed by a physician.
Requirements:
- Illinois Nurse Practitioner License.
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Preferred).
- 1+ years of pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner.
- Urgent Care experience is a PLUS.
- Experience with high patient volume is a PLUS.
- Weekend availability.
