The Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) is a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Our nurses play a key role within the large multidisciplinary team to provide high quality diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology to the Tasmanian community. DMI is seeking compassionate, highly adaptable nurses with a passion for learning and teaching who demonstrate advanced communication and teamwork skills. The Registered Nurse strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
The role:
- Provide high quality diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology to the Tasmanian community.
- Demonstrate advanced communication and teamwork skills.
- Strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care.
Department of Medical Imaging (DMI):
- Provides diagnostic and interventional radiology service for Tasmania across multiple modalities including ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy and angiography.
- Offers structured training pathways to upskill our team across all modalities, including Angiography.
- Values a culture of respect, accountability, growth, and safety with the patient at core.
- Staff are required to wear lead aprons when working in Medical Imaging.
Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 (pro-rata) per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
- Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more.
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Pre-employment checks including conviction checks in areas such as crimes of violence, sex-related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, and disciplinary action in previous employment.
