Baptist Medical Center is looking to add an MRI Technologist to our MRI department at Baptist Medical Center for our Peak Staffing (Internal Traveler) Program located in Jacksonville, Florida. This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams, this MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams and explain the procedure. The MRI Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. This position is part of our internal traveler program, which is a 12-week contract with premium pay. This position is eligible to renew their contract after 12 weeks for up to two contracts in total. This MRI Technologist will work Full-Time, Evening shifts with rotating weekend call.
This MRI Technologist will be responsible for the following:
- Performing high-quality MRI procedures.
- Promoting goodwill amongst co-workers and other departments and maintaining a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
- Maintaining compliance with mandatory education and health requirements.
- Taking every precaution to protect self, patients, and others from potential harm relating to the magnetic field.
- Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or lawful institutional policy.
