Speech-Language Pathologist w AAC Specialization
ICCD is seeking a bright and motivated speech-language pathologist with specialized knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication. The ideal candidate has experience working with autistic individuals through a neurodiversity affirming lens. Interest and experience working with high-tech AAC, including SGD evaluation and trialing of multiple systems, is required. Knowledge of gestalt language processing in preferred. There are part-time and full-time openings available in our Canton/Quincy, Lowell, and Newton locations.
Responsibilities include performing both brief and comprehensive assessments, creating and carrying out treatment plans, maintaining a weekly therapy caseload, providing parent/caregiver education, and communicating/coordinating with other therapy providers. Clients are typically between the ages of 2-18 years old with a variety of speech and language disorders and co-morbid conditions. Applicants must have CCC credentials and at least 1 year of experience working in pediatrics.
