Job Summary:
Work Schedule: 6:45am to 5:15pm, 4-10 hour shifts plus call rotation
Sign on bonus of $40,000 and Tuition Reimbursement up to $10,000!
Performs diagnostic imaging examinations. Assists with diagnostic angiographic procedures, complex interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures. This position requires knowledge of sterile technique and pan-scrubbing, and shares on-call duties.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
- Exam Performance/Quality
- Identifies each patient by two identifiers and ensures patient understanding of pending procedure.
- Provides comfort measures and engages patient to obtain optimal cooperation and positioning.
- Critiques each exam for technical and positional accuracy and makes appropriate corrections if necessary.
- Performs Exams as their priority dictates.
- Ensures optimal visualization of anatomy by directing radiographic equipment.
- Prepares procedural rooms and equipment according to appropriate procedural needs.
- Assists cardiologist/electrophysiologist during procedures.
- Provides direct, safe, competent, and quality patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
- Radiology Information System (RIS)/Cerner/PACS
- Maintains a working knowledge of system applications.
- Consistently uses proper system applications for order modification and documentation.
- Operates contrast injector, cleans and tears down equipment daily.
- Patient Care
- Provides appropriate care specific to the age of the customer/patient.
- Implements interventions consistent with the established plan of care.

Job Requirements:
Education
- Associate degree from approved AART School of Radiology Technology required.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
Experience
- 1 year of experience in Radiology preferred.
- 1 year in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology preferred.
License/Certifications
- ARRT in Radiography required.
- Current Medical Radiographer license from Nebraska required.
- ACLS Certification required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate.
- Knowledge of invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures.
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
- Various physical activities including climbing, balancing, and lifting.
