The Clinical Nurse in the Operating Room must have at least one year of nursing experience in the Operating Room.Transformational Leadership:- Leads the patient care team in providing high-quality care in the operating room.
- Organizes and prioritizes work to ensure efficient patient flow and teamwork.
- Ensures continuity of care through effective discharge planning, patient education, and coordination of services.
- Practices autonomously within the scope of professional nursing practice.

- Functions effectively in roles such as charge nurse or preceptor when needed.

- Collaborates with the surgical team to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
- Acts as a patient advocate, upholding patient rights and ensuring comfort.

Other Duties as AssignedEducationRequired: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
ExperienceNo experience required. All clinical nurses with less than one year registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
Licensure/CertificationCurrent State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in the following department: Nrsg Post Anesthesia Care Unit (600160).
