Job Summary and Qualifications
Responsibilities include:
- You will assess, reassess, develop, and implement the Infection Control/Employee Health Plan in accordance with regulatory agencies and all federal and state requirements.
- You will assess employees and their environment for injury, illness, and risk then implement appropriate safety precautions and follow up procedures.
- You will assess patients for risk of transmission or exposure to infection and you will implement appropriate safety precautions and follow up procedures.
- Utilizing and integrating all available pertinent data in developing Infection Control/Employee Health Plan you will help meets the needs of all customers.
- You will interpret data to determine when patients or employees are at acute risk for infection and takes appropriate measures including notifying physician and/or Department Director.
- You will prioritize patient/health care worker’s needs based on assessment/reassessment findings relating to the prevention or spread of disease.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Medical Tech in this state
- BSN, BS Medical Technologist, or Master's in Public Health or Epidemiology preferred
- Minimum 2 year acute care experience with a solid understanding of hemodynamics
- BLS through the American Heart Association
- CIC - Certified Infection Control preferred
